Kuraray produces PVB film in Czech Republic
Sinochem New Network News On June 27, Kuraray Co., Ltd. announced that the company's polyvinyl butyral (PVB) ionomer resin film production line in Moravia, Czech Republic, was put into production and officially started in July. The PVB membrane material that was put into production was used for the safety glass interlayer film. The specific capacity and investment amount were not announced.
According to Kuraray, the company's PVB safety glass interlayer film is 5 times stronger than ordinary interlayer film, 100 times harder than ordinary interlayer film, and has good light transmission. It is widely used in high-rise buildings around the world. The company has a PVB film material production line in the United States. By launching a new production line in the Czech Republic, the company will expand sales of PVB film materials in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
